Optogenetics

Interesting article on a new OCD treatment that will revolutionize treatment. It is a form of brain stimulation and gene therapy combined. They basically deliver a gene to certain types of cells that code for light sensitive organelles called eyespots. These eyespots can then be stimulated by light in a very deliberate and precise way.  It’s only being tested on mice for now.
